We are seeking submissions for the inaugural issue of Investigo: Interdisciplinary Journal of Medieval and Renaissance Studies. This is a multi and interdisciplinary journal focused on a wide range of medieval and early-modern topics. We welcome submissions from advanced undergraduates, graduate students, early-career and established academics. All submissions should be sent as email attachments to Angela Bolen at investigo.journal@gmail.com in a MS Word file format (.doc or .docx). To be considered for publication, submissions must be all original, previously unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Additionally, articles should be between 7,000-9,000 words including footnotes. The entirety of the document, including title, abstract, text-body, bibliography, and notes should not exceed 25 pages; however, space considerations may be adjusted for submissions that include images. Investigo encourages submissions that include illustrations; however, it is the responsibility of the author to provide the images and to secure the permission to reproduce them. Submissions with concerns about specifics regarding images can contact the editor at investigojournal@gmail.com directly with questions.
The body of the text should be double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font. All footnotes should be 10-point Times New Roman font and single spaced. Please follow the Chicago Manual of Style for all citations, bibliographies, and footnotes.
Please include a 250-word abstract and searchable keywords for your article. All articles deemed appropriate for Investigo will be sent to two readers, possibly three. Because we follow a policy of double-blind peer review, please do not include the name of the author or acknowledgements, or any other personal references that may identify the author. Articles may reincorporate such information after being accepted for publication.
